A call came through from this number to our mobile, but we didn’t pick up. After seeing the unfavourable reviews on this site, we decided to block the number and just let it ring out.

My missus picked up the phone, but there was nothing but quiet on the other end, so she decided to end the call.

Claimed they were representatives of BT Openreach – what a load of nonsense!

I replied in the negative and probed about how they acquired my phone number. Rather than providing any clarification, she merely stated, "You've reached the wrong number," before abruptly ending the call. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Received a call from someone claiming to be inspecting my internet router, which they alleged was compromised. I expressed my doubt about their identity and mentioned I'd prefer to call them back for verification. To my surprise, they abruptly ended the call.

I received a call from an Indian gentleman purporting to be affiliated with O2. Before long, he handed me over to someone with an American accent. It quickly became evident they were fishing for my banking information, under the guise of needing it to secure my iPhone 13. Quite the dubious scheme, to say the least!

They claimed to be from Car Phone Warehouse, so I decided to end the call. When I tried ringing back using a different number, I got 0114 356 0006.

Claimed to be representing Curry's PC World! Honestly, I find it hard to believe that someone with such a poor grasp of English would be making unsolicited calls for a well-known retailer. Just disregard it!

At roughly 8:10 this morning, I got a call that I chose not to pick up. When I checked my voicemail, there was no message recorded. I'm inclined to think it was one of those dodgy cold calls.

Made me wonder if I’ve inadvertently shared any passwords! I could sense trouble brewing, so I told him I struggled to hear properly and suggested that if he really had my details, he should email me. If he couldn’t provide that, I certainly wasn’t buying his story. So, I promptly ended the call.

After glancing through other comments, I reckon this might be a dodgy offer.

Exercise caution, folks! There are scammers out there sending texts disguised as 02. It's absolutely crucial that you DO NOT divulge any codes to them! It starts with an Indian voice, and then an American chap jumps in once they think they're pulling a fast one. Unsavoury individuals indeed! Stay alert and protect yourselves.

I received a call from 01235 599888, but I chose not to pick up at the time. Afterward, I noticed they left a voicemail, so I gave it a listen. Curiously, there was absolutely no sound or message at all.

I gave it a miss as they didn’t answer; seems wise to assume it could be a dodgy call.

I answered the phone, greeted the caller, but was met with silence. The display showed a number from Abingdon. Shortly after, I received a text informing me that I had missed a call.
