My mum, who’s a widow, got a call from a bloke with a strong foreign accent asking her all sorts of questions. She felt a bit unnerved and ended up hanging up the phone.

Got another call today, and honestly, it's getting a bit much. I answered, hoping it might be something important, but it was just another telemarketer trying to sell me something. I told him I wasn’t interested, but he kept going on. So, in the end, I just hung up and waited for him to stop ringing.

Right away, i hung up since it was clear this was one of those crowded call centres. There was a woman on the phone, i think she was Asian, but i couldn't make out much of what she said - sounded like she was trying to pitch me something.

Just got off the phone with a lady from a charity, she rang up to see if I'd be interested in donating. I said yes, and honestly, it was a really pleasant chat. I usually get loads of dodgy calls, so it was a nice change to have a proper friendly call and not some scam.
