I've had a couple of calls from 02135 355102, and I'm pretty convinced it's some sort of HMRC scam. As I was typing this out, another call came through on 02045 711727. They claimed my washing machine contract had expired, but the truth is, I've never had one! Clearly, another dodgy scam call.

I chose not to answer because I seldom use my home phone. After the call, I looked up the number but it didn't ring any bells. I figured it was probably a scam.

They claimed to be calling from the postcode lottery and mentioned my previous postcode. When I informed them that I'd relocated, they abruptly ended the call!

I just had a phone call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming that I was entitled to a £500 refund from HMRC for PPI. When I told him I wasn’t interested, he wouldn’t let it go! I threatened to report him, and he became quite disrespectful, hurling abuse my way. Keep your wits about you for this one!

There was an awkward pause filled with some muffled voices in the background. Eventually, one of them managed to utter a 'Hello', but then they promptly hung up. I reckon my rather irritable 'Hello' may have conveyed my annoyance at being interrupted in the first place.

I had an encounter today with an Indian gentleman who rather inconsiderately asked for my wife and then proceeded to call me by my first name, which I found rather off-putting. Naturally, I decided to end the call. I have a strong feeling it was another scam related to HMRC. If you happen to receive a call from this number, I advise you to hang up immediately! 16:31 22/01/22

I received a call claiming they could help secure my tax refund. Little did they know, they were speaking with an accountant! What a blunder on their part—pure scam artistry, and I made sure they were aware of it.

They are purporting to offer a tax reimbursement for PPI and are requesting some personal details.

Absolutely the same scenario. It’s laughable, really. They must reckon we’re all a bit dim, don’t they? I managed to keep her on the line for nearly ten minutes before getting bored. When I dropped the term ‘scam’ and said I’d look the number up online, I doubt it even fazed her. It’s such a shame these sorts of nuisances just keep resurfacing, isn’t it?

I received a call from an Asian fellow who spoke in rather fragmented English, introducing himself as Harry. However, he was rather evasive about providing his surname. Strangely enough, he seemed to know my name and claimed he was inquiring about a tax refund related to a PPI claim, which is puzzling given that I’ve never even had such a claim.

I got a call from this number just after noon today. I picked up, but there was no real conversation—just a woman’s voice saying “Hello” over and over. Feels like a dodgy scam to me!

I missed the call and there was no voicemail left, so I hopped on here to see what others had said. I've since blocked the number, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they try again with a different one in the future. It just goes to show how cunning these individuals can be!

It appears that 8:30 in the morning is the sweet spot for these pesky scammers to make their calls. I held my tongue, and they did the same. Honestly, don't they realise that PPI claims are ancient history?

My elderly mum received calls for two consecutive days about a refund issue. The initial call came from a man, followed by a woman of Asian descent on the second attempt. I’m certain it’s a dodgy scheme.

Blimey, the scammers are really at it from the crack of dawn today—8:25 in the morning on a bleedin’ Saturday! I’ve given up picking up for landlines; instead, I just jot down the number and come straight over to this site. Is there no end to their nonsense?

Received a call claiming it was regarding a PPI reimbursement. They requested our bank card number, the lengthy one. When we insisted on receiving a cheque instead, since they already had our address and postcode, the call abruptly ended as soon as we refused to share our bank info. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

This is definitely a scam! They pretended to be from Domestic & General, saying they were offering a refund for washing machine insurance. As soon as I questioned them, they abruptly ended the call. It felt like they were fishing for my bank account information. Best to steer clear!

Received a call purporting to be from HMRC. I chucked in the line, “Oh really?! I work there as well!” (which isn’t true, by the way). But blimey, it did the trick—he promptly hung up! The chap claimed his name was Peter and I could tell he was in a massive call centre, likely overseas, even though the number was showing as Abingdon.

Today, I received a phone call from a number claiming to be Domestic and General. They stated that they had taken payments from me on two occasions and were eager to issue a refund. Naturally, they requested my card details to process this. I requested that they send me an email with all the relevant information so that I could look into it further. However, I'm still waiting for that email to arrive.
