Total rip off, watch out!

I've asked them several times to take me off their call list and stop ringing me, but they just ignore it. Then, they switch to a new number and start the same thing all over again. It's really frustrating!

I've been receiving calls from this unknown number, but they just ring for a moment before cutting off. It's rather annoying, especially since I'm anticipating an important call.

Got a call from a lady who just chuckled and then suddenly ended the call. It really felt like one of those hectic call centre jobs. Honestly, don’t bother overthinking it - it’s definitely a scam.

My credit history shows I don’t owe anything to anyone, I’m debt-free. Yet, this number keeps showing up on my call log and I’m properly fed up with it.

Received a call from 01235 300034 on the 10th of December, 2021, around half eleven in the morning. An Indian chap was on the line, and honestly, I found it rather tough to follow what he was saying. He claimed to represent Carphone Warehouse, but I had a decent go at him, calling him out for being a scammer. The offer he was pitching was £35, but I quickly pointed out that he's barking up the wrong tree since that’s not even my mobile provider! They don’t reach out to their clientele like that! Honestly, it makes my blood boil that the authorities are doing little about these nuisances! My phone book is practically a cemetery of blocked scam numbers!

Got a call from someone saying they were with O2, trying to get me to share my monthly bill so they could switch me to a "new contract". I kept telling them I'm already locked in an O2 contract, but they just wouldn't take it. I just let the guy keep chatting until eventually he just dropped the call. Total pain!!

Got a call from a guy with a thick Indian accent saying his name was Andy Murray. The background sounded like a busy call centre. Pretty sure the real Andy Murray, the famous tennis player from Scotland, isn’t going to suddenly be selling phones for Carphone Warehouse like this bloke claimed. Seemed a bit fishy to me.

They claimed to represent the Car Phone Warehouse, but as soon as I mentioned that I wasn't interested in any phone deals, they abruptly ended the call. Quite rude, really!

I received a call purporting to be from O2, pressuring me for details about my monthly payments in order to supposedly switch me to a new contract. I reiterated time and again that I’m still bound by my current agreement with O2, but they seemed completely uninterested in what I was saying. I just let the bloke ramble on for a bit until he eventually hung up. What a dreadful experience!

Got a call from a woman saying they had an offer for an iPhone 13 Pro with unlimited texts, calls, and data on a 24-month deal for £30 a month. Sounds way too good to be true if you ask me.

Claimed to be ringing from Carphone Warehouse, so I promptly cut the call short. They really ought not to have my number, should they?

Got a call from this number and there was a woman speaking, but I couldn’t make out what she was saying at all. I think she mentioned something about a “mobile” or something like that. I just wished her a good day nicely and ended the call. Definitely a scammer, so I’ve blocked the number now.

I got a call claiming to be from Car Phone Warehouse promotions. I mentioned that cold calling is illegal here in the UK, but she kept trying to push the deals on me. I told her I could tell she was a scammer because she was using Abingdon as some sort of relay, so the number showed with a +44 even though it should’ve been hidden. After that, she just hung up. Her accent was really strong, sounded like it was from Delhi or somewhere nearby. Complete con artists and total bottom feeders, honest people shouldn’t be dealing with these kinds of crooks.

Got calls from someone saying they were Virgin Media. They called me three times and just refused to accept that I wasn’t interested. They were pushing some deal with an iPhone for £10 a month, said it came with everything in the ultimate package. Definitely felt like a total con.

Some lady called me claiming she was from Carphone Warehouse, working with 3, trying to pitch some deal. She asked what phone I was using. I said nicely that I wasn’t interested, but she kept pushing a bit. I said again I wasn’t into it, she finally said alright and ended the call.
