I received a rather forceful pre-recorded message insisting that I mustn't overlook this phone call, warning that my National Insurance number would be revoked. Absolute nonsense, if you ask me! They wanted me to press 1 to connect with a representative – not a chance! I'm just going to block the number and report it.

Be wary of this so-called phone contractor. They seem to employ a telephone lookup service to ascertain your mobile carrier. It's best not to share any personal details or any kind of information with them.

The caller had a thick African accent that made it quite tricky to follow what he was saying. When I inquired about the reason for his call, he seemed rather ambiguous and a bit off. Given my past encounters with dodgy calls, I couldn't shake the feeling it was a scam, so I decided to terminate the conversation.

I received a call today from someone with a quite pronounced Asian accent. I honestly struggled to grasp what he was trying to convey. I couldn't make out who he claimed to represent. All I could gather was him mentioning something about a promotion and asking if I was interested. To be courteous, I politely declined and ended the call.

That caller had a thick accent, and when I inquired about the name of the company she represented, her answer was rather vague. I mentioned that it didn't ring a bell for me, and just like that, she hung up. It’s quite amusing, really – I remained courteous throughout, so I’ve got nothing to feel guilty about. It’s a pity the same can’t be said for these dodgy callers!
