Hello there! I received a rather peculiar call from this number earlier today. The caller seemed quite familiar with me, knowing my full name and claiming to be from the London Advisory Service. They inquired about whether I had central heating-which I do not-and followed up with questions about my gas supplier. They asked if it was alright for EDF to call me, to which I replied that I’d reach out to them if I fancied a better deal. Then, out of the blue, they wanted to know the age of my television. I jestingly replied it could be anything between one to three years, and when I probed why they were asking, the response was rather vague-something about “Go Assist.” I quipped back that it sounded like a rather dodgy proposition. They quickly assured me it wasn’t that, before proceeding to ask whether I’d be receptive to promotional offers from specific companies. I made it clear I did not wish to receive any unsolicited mail, reminding them that I was registered with the TPS and the mailing preferences service. After exchanging some polite farewells, it wasn't long before another call came through, this time from someone claiming to be an insurance broker. However, I was at work and they promised to ring back later. I have no doubt this is a scam. Beware of the so-called London Advisory Service!
