Had a call from some scammer, sounded like they were from an Asian call centre or something - loads of background noise so couldn’t really make out what they were saying. They kept asking for personal stuff like my name, where I live and how long I’ve been there. Got me thinking what on earth they want with all that info. Totally dodgy.

Some guy from overseas somehow had my details, name and where I live. But I usually tell ’em I’ve shifted and then chuck them the postcode and street number of the nearest police station or pizza place just for a laugh. It was this quick 30 second survey that ended up taking ages. I only humour them so they’re kept busy and don’t bother other elderly folks. Funny thing is, I was out cycling in the middle of nowhere with plenty of time to kill.

She kept insisting she wasn’t trying to sell me anything, but her name was “David,” which struck me as odd for a woman. I just told her that was a guy’s name and ended the call.
