If it needs more than one person to make a deal, you can bet it’s a total scam without a doubt.

Havent had a call from Ashford in Kent before, usually get these dodgy calls from Birmingham. Sometimes I get weird numbers from Manchester and random towns too though. Didn’t pick up this time, just checked the number here and it was definitely a scam. Blocked it straight away and got rid of it.

Got a call from 01233 542989 on my landline, no idea who it was. Seems like one of those 02 scams. They called once, said something about being with 02 but I’m not a customer, so I just ended the call straight away. This kind of thing has happened to me before.

They've rung me repeatedly over the past couple of days. I picked up the phone a couple of times, only to be greeted by utter silence on the other end, which led me to eventually end the call. Quite baffling, really!

I informed the individual on the line that I suspected she was up to no good. To my surprise, she retorted, "You can't provide any proof," before promptly hanging up. Quite bizarre, isn't it?

Received a call from this number, but I chose not to pick up, so they’ve now been blocked. Interestingly, just a couple of minutes prior to the call, I had a text from my mobile network with a one-time code that I definitely did not ask for. Clearly a scam!

So first I got a message from O2 warning me not to share any security codes. Then my phone showed this number ringing. After that, O2 sent me a text with a security code. I decided not to pick up the call.

Got a call yesterday afternoon from someone claiming to be O2, saying I had a contract with them. Thing is, I actually just use a pay-as-you-go SIM. When I asked for the dates of this supposed contract, the caller just ended the call. That was the third time they'd phoned me that day. Definitely sounded fishy.

Got a call from someone claiming they could slash 40% off my bill with O2. Thing is, I’m not even tied to O2 with a contract. I told the bloke this, and he just started shouting some rude stuff and hung up on me. Bit of a shocking way to treat someone, honestly.

This bloke claimed to be with EE and seemed to have my number since he called me up. He tried to get some details out of me, but I kept quiet. Then he tried to sweeten the deal, saying I’d get a £10 monthly discount for being a “loyal customer”?? Next thing, he passed me onto someone else to “complete an online form”. When I asked for the account holder’s name, the line was cut straight away. Pretty clear scam, since EE would already have that info. Also, the guy’s accent sounded like it was from the Indian subcontinent.

Someone called me saying they were from O2 offering an upgrade, but they had quite a strong accent and couldn’t answer basic questions about my account. When I asked how they even knew I qualified for an upgrade without my info, they got visibly annoyed. Definitely seemed dodgy to me.

This guy said I was apparently already signed up with their services, but I couldn’t figure out which company he was meant to be from. The accent sounded very South Asian, maybe Indian or Pakistani, and the phone line was really poor with loads of background noise. Definitely seemed like a dodgy scam call to me. Felt pretty sketchy and unsafe.

Best not to engage with them; they’re likely con artists based overseas-most probably in India-pretending to be associated with O2.

I've noticed that whenever a business has an ambiguous name like "DCT Communications," it's often a red flag indicating potential dodginess. I can't find them listed on Companies House, which suggests they're not authorised to operate within the UK. I would strongly advise steering clear of them!

They purported they could provide an upgrade via the "three" network. The deal on offer seemed decent, though not excessively generous. They requested my card details for a "soft credit inquiry". It appeared they were collaborating with another number, 020 8072 0029, which asserted it was the "office"…
