I received a call from a number I don't recognise and I'm just ignoring it.

I received a rather alarming voicemail that sounded automated, supposedly from someone at HMRC. They were making ominous threats about legal action against me.

This seems like a scam! They called me, pretending to be from HMRC, claiming I owed taxes and that legal action was being taken against me.

Had loads of messages saying someone’s trying to get into my O2 account, must’ve popped my number onto their site to grab the login code. They keep ringing from all sorts of different numbers and country codes. Didn't bother answering, just ignored the calls. Total scam, stay clear!

Those were definitely con artists.

Got a call claiming to be from O2, but it was definitely a scam.

I keep getting calls from loads of numbers, all with the same area code. Whenever I answer with a simple "hello," no one talks, then the line just cuts off. Seems to me it's a call centre just ringin' a bunch of numbers and grabbing whoever answers first.

So it’s Thursday already and this week alone I’ve been bombarded with 14 calls from numbers starting with 1233... always from Ashford. This has been going on for weeks now, and no matter how many times I block one, they just call from a different number. It’s getting seriously annoying, almost feels like harassment. I never pick up - they never leave a voicemail anyway. Honestly, I’m close to just answering and telling them exactly what I think! 😡

They kept ringing me non stop, so I reckon it must be some sort of scam, I just ended up blocking the number.

SCAM - Got a call from some guttering bloke claiming they’re doing surveys on “all social, council and assisted homes, like mine.” Thing is, I don’t live in any of those, and I can’t see why a firm from Ashford would bother coming all the way up to the East Midlands just for a gutter check....

They kept calling my mum and wouldn't stop even though they knew where she lives.

Got calls twice from different numbers, someone saying they're from a housing association, but weirdly they used my first name straight away. Doesn't feel legit, probably a scam.

Sounds like a total scam to me - someone pretending to be from HMRC saying they’re gonna take legal steps against me. Definitely dodgy!
