Received a rather unsolicited phone call regarding loft insulation. I decided to end the conversation as I’ve registered with the Telephone Preference Service, which ought to put an end to these bothersome calls.

They rang me up twice. The first time, someone asked to speak to mr or mrs ##FHHHHH. That’s not me, but a mrs ######## did live here before, so I tried to find out if I should pass on this new number by asking for a first name. They couldn’t give one, just said they wanted to speak to the home owner. When I asked who it was, they said something like Homesafe. I told them no thanks and to not call again. Then, less than half an hour later, they phoned back. It definitely sounded like a sales pitch.
