Got a call from someone with a really thick Asian accent, tried saying something then just cut me off. Went ahead and blocked the number straight away.

Received a call from 01229200018, and when I picked up, it was completely silent on the other end. Quite odd, really.

It’s really useful to have sites like this where you can look up numbers. These scammers are the worst. I’ve already put that number on my block list.

Fed up with loads of spammers pretending to be from Car Phone Warehouse but calling from all different places!

Don't know who it was, I never pick up unknown numbers anymore, just block straight away. My phone's got spam filter that spots these calls. They've rung me like three times this morning from different dodgy numbers while I was busy working. Proper pain in the neck!

I got some answers but no one said a word, then the call just dropped.

Got a call from a woman with a strong Asian accent, cold calling me out of the blue. She started with "How's your day going?" before launching into the usual scam spiel. I told her, "I know who you are, why do you keep ringing me?" She suddenly went silent and then just ended the call. I've blocked the number now. Definitely a scammer.

Got a call from 01229 200018, a woman said she was ringing on behalf of Three. But while she was talking, I overheard another bloke in the background saying Virgin. Thought it was fishy so I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Some bloke called saying he was with Carphone Warehouse and started asking for my info. I told him I wasn’t interested and that I’ve never bought anything from them anyway, then he just hung up on me.

I didn’t pick up, thought it was probably one of those scam calls. Never heard of anyone from Barrow-Furness to begin with. Seems like quite a few others are getting calls from the same place. These calls are such a pain, always annoying.

I ignored the call and didn’t answer.

Sounds like it might be one of those bank fraud calls to me.

Yesterday I ended my contract with Three and asked them for my PAC code. Then, out of nowhere today, Carphone Warehouse rang me. I find it really worrying how they seemed to know straight away that I was no longer tied to my contract and decided to cold call me trying to push a phone deal within just a day.

Didn’t answer because the number was unfamiliar. Probably one of those scam calls.

I didn’t pick up the call, but it definitely seemed a bit suspicious.

Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise, but they didn’t bother leaving a message. I decided to just block it.

I couldn’t make out what he was on about, so I just ended the call.

I gotta say, these people are total scam artists. I told them straight up I'd call the cops because what they're doing is illegal, and they’re tricking loads of people. Honestly, I just want to warn others that they’re breaking the law big time. Plus, they’re messing with copyright rules by pretending to be well-known companies. Watch out!

Every single one of these calls I've had is definitely a scam, and honestly, the people behind them come across as threatening and quite scary. It’s especially worrying because older folks should be better safeguarded by the authorities. I’m actually working alongside the police, and trust me, they know these scammers inside out. If any of you have info on them, report it straight away so they can be tracked down - my police mates are on the case and already pinpointing their locations. With today's tech, it’s not hard to find where these scammers are hiding - they’re pretty careless and easy to trap. I’ve been in touch with various phone companies pushing for stronger measures, but my main advice? Hand yourselves over to the cops because you’re basically caught. We want the money returned ASAP. Honestly, how do these crooks sleep at night, knowing they’ve stolen from innocent people? It’s beyond me, especially when some of the cash was taken from people who’ve passed away. I bet they deal with a lot of stress and panic attacks behind the scenes. I’ve spoken directly with some of these individuals - both men and women - who are targeting vulnerable people and threatening them over money. They’ve been up to this for years; I actually recognise some voices. Working with the police has shown me that this website they use is fake too. Heads up, scammers - your days are numbered, and you’re all under arrest. To anyone involved: how can you live with yourselves? Taking money from families, some of whom have lost loved ones? You’re scam artists through and through, and we’re desperate to get victims’ money back soon. One day, if you call someone’s number, the police will be waiting to catch you. I can tell you now, we have your exact whereabouts, know every trick, every device you’ve used. Turn yourselves in. There are rewards of £10,000 or even £50,000 for info leading to arrests. If you don’t, be ready for criminal charges, fraud, money laundering, and potentially decades in prison. So if you do know who these scammers are, alert the police or Action Fraud right away. I had a call from this person who was seriously rude and just didn’t seem interested in talking properly. It was quite off-putting, honestly.

Got a call about a deal from Carphone Warehouse, but it really felt dodgy, like a scam or something.

Some bloke said he was from Carphone Warehouse but had a thick Asian accent that was really hard to get. I just ended the call, didn’t bother listening any longer. Fingers crossed he doesn’t call me again.

My phone went off during class so after school I decided to look up the number online.

Someone saying they were from Carphone Warehouse rang me, but as soon as I asked if they knew who I was, they just ended the call.

I got a call from someone saying they were with Currys, claiming I’d won a free iPhone. Seemed a bit dodgy to me!

They claimed to be from Carphone Warehouse. I just said no thanks and ended the call before they could start their sales pitch.

I hung up immediately and marked it as a spam number, no way I was sticking around for that!

Received a call from someone saying his name was Mark and that he was from Carphone Warehouse. It didn’t ring true to me at all, so best to just ignore and block this number.

I would just hang up, it's definitely some kind of scam.

I called back a few times but they simply left me hanging up without saying a word.

I was hanging out with my mates when I got a call from a number I didn't recognise. I didn’t answer it, but just to be safe, could someone have a look? Thanks a lot, and yeah, I’m only 11.

This number rang me on my mobile earlier and honestly, it didn’t feel right, so I just ignored it. Seems like there are lots of dodgy calls going about these days, so I reckon it’s safer not to pick up. If this number pops up on your phone or your landline, I’d suggest just blocking and deleting it like I did, better safe than sorry.

Got a call from an Asian gentleman trying to convince me to change my mobile network. Reading the earlier reviews, seems a bit sketchy to me.

This morning I got a call from 01206 592005 with someone saying they were from Carphone Warehouse, pushing a deal to end my contract early and get a new phone for £30 a month. I told them to ring me later as I wanted to check the details first. Later on, they called again but from another number, 01229 200018. When I told the person I wasn’t interested, they started shouting and using foul language at me, which was really unpleasant.

just got a call from carphone warehouse, they were pushing an iPhone 12 with a new contract, bit annoying really!

Got a call saying my bank account was in danger and that I had to transfer my money online right away. The thing is, I don't even use internet banking. Just ignore these scammers, they’re a pain.
