I got this automated call telling me my internet would be disconnected in a day or two, and if I wanted to speak to someone, I had to press 1. I just hung up and blocked the number straight away.

I just don’t get why a caller in Carlisle would be ringing a brand new number in Kent, especially since I haven’t told anyone this number. It’s so fresh, I can barely keep track of it myself!

So apparently it was meant to be Amazon ringing me but I reckon it’s just a load of rubbish. Since swapping to this new BT number, I’ve had about 26 dodgy calls already. If this is what BT’s all about, I’m pretty tempted to switch back to Virgin - at least then I only got a random call about once a week. These last couple of weeks with BT feel like a complete free-for-all with all the spam coming through.
