Got a call from 01228 524284 today claiming there was unauthorised activity on my amazon account. I said I don't even have an amazon account (which is true), and they just hung up on me. Definitely sounded like a scam to me.

Spotted a charge of £600 on my debit card from overseas - definitely wasn't me.

I had £600 taken from my debit card and sent overseas. When I rang the number back, I could hear voices speaking Spanish in the background before anyone even said a word. I asked them for some sort of evidence that they were really from the fraud squad, but then they just ended the call on me.

Its so frustrating dealing with these scammers! The call came through at 9.27 in the morning. Honestly, there should be stricter rules or blocklists to keep these dodgy calls at bay.
