I received a letter at my home address regarding an account opened in my name that has now been closed. This was the number on top of the letter.

I got a call from this number claiming they could lower my EE phone bill with some special discount. Turns out, they're not from EE at all - I checked with EE myself to be sure. Just a heads up, they seem to have a couple of other numbers too: 01465861221 and a “customer service” line at 01892710438. If you fancy, you can give those a ring and have a bit of fun with them.

I received a call, allegedly from my mobile network provider, claiming they were offering me a reduction on my bill due to recent customer complaints. They seemed to know a considerable amount already but were clearly trying to gather even more personal details. They then attempted to change the passwords for both my account and my husband’s by asking for a verification code to be sent to our email. Feeling rather uneasy, I decided to terminate the call. Shortly after, I got another call from a number labelled 'Stone Cottage' (07953 966250), urging me to finish what was started. I suspect they would have tried to extract my banking information or set up a new contract I never requested.

Getting calls from people trying to sell me phone deals that aren’t real. Total scam, don’t trust them.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Vodaphone saying I could get a discount on my phone bill. Luckily I’m with Vodaphone already so it was clear to me straight off this was a scam. They then tried to get my email address, but of course I didn’t fall for it and kept my details to myself.

I had a weird feeling about this call and honestly, I reckon it was a scam. It didn’t sit right with me at all, I felt pretty dodgy about it.

So I got a call from someone claiming to be from EE. After chatting for about 14 minutes, the bloke with an Indian accent finally asked me for my debit card details to cover some supposedly cheap calls for the year! Honestly, watch out folks - this is a proper scam and really dodgy.

This is more than just a rip-off, it feels like a proper data leak and Three have done nothing about it so far. I played along with the person who rang me. They already knew my phone number, email, home address, bank info, and details about my phone. The only companies that had all that info were Affordable Mobiles and Three, since I got the phone from them.

Got a call from someone pretending to be from Three, turned out to be a total scam. They somehow had my email and promised to slash my monthly bill by half plus throw in an Apple Watch as a gift. Today a parcel arrived, but instead of the watch, it was a phone. I rang Three to check and they told me it was a fraud. The scammers apparently later call saying the phone was sent by accident and ask you to send it back, then hit you with a huge bill around £900. They've phoned again asking for the phone back and even sent me a code to "verify" or something. Really dodgy stuff.

Sounds like this was most likely a scam caller.

This number rang me up saying they were from Three's complaints team, asking for my personal info. I checked with Three myself and they told me the number isn’t theirs at all. When I called the number back and confronted them about it, they just ended the call straight away.

Watch out! Got a call from someone speaking with an Indian accent, saying they could reduce my internet charges. Then they tried getting hold of my Gmail login by sending verification codes to my email. Don’t trust this! Somehow they already had my phone number and Gmail info. The number they called from was 01619640394.
