01227709428 keeps ringing me but never answers when I pick up. When I do answer, I say nothing and the call just goes on. Once I left it going for more than an hour. I guess it’s their phone bill to pay in the end.

Same as loads of other people have said, it was one of those automated calls from HMRC threatening me that if I didn’t hit 1 to speak to someone, they’d come after me for arrest. It’s definitely a scam.

Got a call from 01227 697080, some robotic voice threatening I'd get arrested if I didn’t press 1. I looked it up right away and it's clearly a scam, just like other 01227 numbers. Kinda wish I could ring them back for a laugh without it costing me, but it’s probably not worth it.

I got a call from 01227828547 at around 2:41pm on 1st June 2020. It was an automated voice, a bloke saying it was HMRC with an urgent warning about tax fraud linked to my name. He told me to press 1 to get through to their fraud team. If I didn’t, they threatened there would be a warrant out for me and I’d be arrested shortly. Seemed proper dodgy to me.

Someone called me like they were a mate from Facebook but as soon as I picked up it switched to a landline number. They claimed to be from O2, but it’s obvious they’re having us on. Have had a few calls from a number I don’t recognise, always letting it ring through to answerphone but no message ever left. Tried calling back but they just hang up. It’s really annoying. The number’s got a Canterbury code which telecom apparently allows scammers to use. Even tho it’s just harassing calls, I marked it as dangerous cos someone could easily get tricked if they actually pick up and start talking to them.

I missed the first call and said to call again in 10 minutes, which is almost up now. After seeing other people's comments, I’ll be telling them to feck off quite bluntly.
