Got a call from 01227 407029, some robotic voice claiming to be the Inland Revenue. They said it was about a tax refund and told me to press one, otherwise I'd get a warrant for my arrest. Total scam!

Got a call from 01227 015523, sounded like an Inland Revenue scam. A robotic voice told me to press 1, just ignored it and blocked the number straight away. Best not to answer these dodgy calls!

Give it a ring and see what happens. It's definitely a Canterbury area code. I've noticed some calls come from private numbers too. Sometimes scammers borrow real people's digits to hide who they really are.

Those accident claim calls are relentless! I always try to drag the conversation out just to make sure they're wasting their time and not hassling elderly folks who might get rattled by it. I gave one of them a load of bogus details and kept them going ages, and in the end he got so frustrated he shouted “bloody hell” and slammed the phone down. Twice they've tried!

Got a call earlier from 01227 0449421 and then again less than an hour later from 01227 040985 - it seemed like one of those car accident scam calls to me. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.
