I found it rather peculiar that the chap on the line kept muting himself throughout our conversation. He had a distinct Indian accent and pretended to be from Scottish Power, trying to entice me with a proposal to reduce my electricity rates. It certainly raised a few red flags!

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming he was ringing on behalf of Southern and Scottish Power, offering cheaper electricity rates. The call had odd pauses, which made me suspect he was overseas. I told him I wasn’t interested and wouldn’t share any details, but he kept pushing. Eventually, I said I was hanging up because it was pointless. That number’s tried calling me back like five times in just twenty minutes. If it was a mobile, I’d have blocked it by now.

About half a year after my car accident, these folks kept ringing me up saying I could claim some compensation, even though it was my fault. They wanted to find out if anyone was in the car with me. I get calls on both my mobile and landline, like several times a day. If they can’t get me on the mobile, they’ll give my home phone a go. It’s gotten a bit much, honestly, feels like I’m being chased with up to 5 calls daily from them.
