This person was really pushy and didn’t give me a chance to speak. I ended up just hanging up and blocking the number straight away.

I got a call about the government making me sell my house to cover care costs. The person on the other end was quite pushy, even a bit rude, and sounded like he was just following a script, hard to get a word in. In the end, I told him he was wasting his breath and hung up. With a topic like that, I wasn’t sure if it was legit or just another scam call. I’ve now blocked the number on 1572, so fingers crossed they don’t ring again.

Sounds like one of those dodgy scam calls. Someone kept going on about property security and stuff, talking about homeowners. I just hung up straight away, no interest in wasting my time. I’m curious though, who is actually footing the bill for these calls?!

The person on the phone never really explained the reason for the call, which seemed like some kind of scam to me.

Got a call on 13 June around 12:42 BST from someone claiming there were new rules for homeowners from the government or something like that. I just told them it was rubbish and ended the call straight away.

Like some others have said, this was to do with care fees and nursing homes. The person said they were from Estate Protection Services Ltd. I rang the company myself and they said they don't do any cold calling. So yeah, it’s clearly a con.

Got a call from 01226666897, someone saying they’re from the government and wanted cash from my house to cover care costs. Sounds like a total scam to me. I’ve now blocked the number.

So, I’ve apparently found myself in need of some sort of protection services, given that it seems the government has decided everyone with a home ought to sell up to cover outrageous care expenses! I’m still not certain if the call I received was spam or a scam, but I kindly - and I do mean kindly - instructed the rather youthful chap on the other end to take a hike!

Somebody phoned up saying the government is now taking money from house sales to cover care home fees. They said they could offer a scheme to stop that happening, then asked if I had any kind of cover already. I told them I’d only continue if they explained why they were calling me at a TPS registered number out of the blue, and how they even got my number. They hung up straight away after that.

I received a rather peculiar call today. The individual on the other end claimed to be situated in London, yet the number rang with a 01226 area code, which we recognised as belonging to Barnsley in South Yorkshire from our previous residence there. Quite amusing, really! I promptly told him where to go!

Received a call from someone who wanted to discuss the details of drafting a will and the implications of entering into long-term care, as well as what might become of my property. However, we hardly got past that point. When I mentioned that I don’t actually own any property, the caller promptly ended the conversation. Quite curious!

I can't seem to escape the barrage of robotic phone calls from this number, and honestly, they make no sense at all. From what I can gather, they’re masquerading as a government organisation, attempting to pry personal details and cash from unsuspecting individuals. It’s utterly ridiculous and almost amusing how shameless this scam is!
