Got a call this morning at 08:34 from an Asian woman speaking with an American accent. It’s the third time this number’s called me in a few days. She claimed to be from British Gas and already had my name and postcode. When I asked for her full name and more info, she just cut the call.

Another one of those silent ringers. What really winds me up is that the tech exists but loads of folks can’t shell out the extra cash for it. Call Guardian and stuff like that should be included free with every phone deal, I reckon the government ought to make it compulsory. It’d wipe out these nuisance calls for good. To me, being safe from them is a basic right, especially when we have the means. Nowadays, I just play along and mess them about, but plenty of older people and even some younger ones find it really upsetting, especially mentally.
