I got a call from someone claiming to be from my electricity company, asking if I owned the property. When I asked them to tell me which company they were from, they couldn’t say. Then I asked how they got my number if they didn’t know my supplier’s name, and they just hung up. I tried to report it to BT, but all they told me was to ring Action Fraud, which isn’t much help since no money’s been taken. Honestly, BT needs to do more to tackle these dodgy numbers. I looked it up online, and the number seems to be based in Bath.
