Called me asking if I was the "property owner" and made some very unclear claims about the "neighbourhood" without giving any proper details. Sounds like a dodgy sales tactic to push loft insulation replacements. He rambled on about damp issues and said the insulation needed regular checks every few years, trying to freak me out. Kept throwing in "as you probably know" to sound convincing about the roof supposedly rotting. Once I told him the loft was converted, he just cut me off. Both of us bending the truth a bit there, but honestly, felt like a total scam.

I told him that wasn’t the question, and if he really worked for the NHS, he’d already know who he was speaking to. After that, he just cut the call. Bit odd, don’t you think? What a prat.
