Definitely a scam. Someone rang me from this number pretending to be from O2 trying to sell me a better plan. I’m not even an O2 customer, so I was suspicious straight away. I told the woman I don’t actually own a mobile phone. She kept insisting she was calling my mobile number, and I said no, this is a landline. We went back and forth for a few minutes with me repeating I don’t have a mobile before she finally hung up.

My missus picked up a call like this about a week ago - some load of rubbish about a loft insulation deal supposedly supported by the government or something. I didn’t even bother to answer when it rang for me. We just left the phone off the hook after she’d said no last week, and thankfully, they stopped trying after a bit.

Beware of these tricksters claiming to offer energy insulation grants! I received a rather dubious call stating I was eligible for yet another grant, which was quite baffling (because that's not how it works). When I pressed them for their name and address, they were utterly clueless about my details. Honestly, it’s infuriating! Don’t hesitate to give them a piece of your mind and send them on their way!

Got a call from 01225 800585 on the 14th of April around 3:17pm. They were talking about home insulation and said there were issues with a government-funded scheme leading to damp and condensation. I was trying to explain that my home was fine and not a problem, and before I could finish, they just hung up. Funny thing is, I never even signed up for that government scheme in the first place.
