Rang at 8:10 in the morning and I picked up thinking it might be important since I’m waiting on some test results. A bloke claiming to be from an energy firm says he’s speaking to the homeowner (I should’ve said I wasn’t and maybe that I was a thief instead). He then asks “How are you?” and I tell him “It’s 8:10, mate.” Without another word he just says “Bye.” So I ask, “No sorry then?” and he immediately ends the call. Weird!

This number just won’t stop calling! She’s rang me four times in a few days claiming to be from some TV insurance company. She kept saying I had a policy and was paying £35 a month by direct debit, trying to convince me she could reduce the cost for the last three months. I checked my bank statements carefully and couldn’t see any trace of this payment or company on the date she mentioned. Eventually, she hung up after a weird remark like ‘thank you for not saving money!’ Honestly, four calls like that is proper harassment!

Got a call from 01225 - 685752 at about 5:11pm today, 9th April. The number’s from Bath, and the person was asking if we knew about some Government scheme offering loft insulation. We already have insulation up there, and we’ve read about grants and loans in the news. But honestly, it seems odd a genuine Gov dept would cold call like this instead of just sending out leaflets. I’m pretty sure this was a dodgy call, so I’ve marked it as harassment.

I got a call from this number earlier today, claiming they’d found my info on some Renewable Energy list because I had free government loft insulation installed about a decade ago. They said this insulation might now be causing damp issues in lofts and roofs. Their ‘survey’ was meant to be free, with no obligation or costs for any repairs afterwards. But then they backtracked, saying they’d just leave a quote for any necessary work with no strings attached. The bloke was really pushy, constantly talking over me. I told him straight - if the government gave something for free that’s damaging houses, then it’s their job to fix it, not mine! That didn’t go down well, but he kept pushing anyway. I’ve also seen others have reported this number for different reasons, so I reckon they’re just scamming people. Me? I’m waiting for Martin Lewis to expose this on his programme. Thanks, but no thanks - leave vulnerable folks out of this, scammers!
