Got a call from some dodgy scammers, really low class. It was one of those automated calls but it messed up the landline, we couldn’t get through or answer anything after. The Virgin engineer told us to disconnect the phone from both the socket and the power, then leave it off for a couple hours to fix the problem.

I'm really curious if everyone here has Plusnet as their provider? Since I switched my broadband, I've been getting loads of scam calls on my home phone. I barely use the landline and have NEVER shared that number with anyone! So how in the world are these scammers getting hold of my number? What’s worse, they charge me for listening to those annoying messages! It’s just insane how many scammers are out there these days. Seriously, don’t pick up! These crooks need to be stopped!

Got a voicemail saying our internet was going to be cut off unless we hit 1 to talk to someone. They claimed some nasty files were downloaded on our router and wanted loads of info from us to fix it. Seemed dodgy to me.

So, I caught the tail end of it, and their automated system clearly struggles with "leave your message after the beep" because the message was all jumbled.
