Some guy rang me claiming to be David, trying to sell me discounted replacement windows and doors. He mentioned his firm was called Refresh or something like that. Since I actually need new windows and doors, I asked if this was one of those government grant programmes, either from the local council or national government. He got all muddled and it was clear he was just reading from a script and didn’t have a proper answer. When I asked again, he just ended the call!

As soon as the answering machine started, I just ended the call straight away.

I received a call from someone named "David" who claimed he was reaching out regarding the replacement of doors and windows. Just another one of those pesky unsolicited calls, it seems.

I picked up the phone, but there was no one on the other end and then the call was ended. We're signed up with the TPS, so I wouldn't expect to get any nuisance calls like that.

Lately we've been getting loads of spam calls, and this one popped up just this morning.

I'd seriously recommend not picking up if the number's not familiar, 9 times out of 10 it’s just some random spam or something dodgy.

Got a call that was definitely dodgy... probably a scam.

Lately I've been getting loads of calls from unfamiliar numbers. I just let them ring out and never pick up unless I know who's calling. If it was really important, they’d leave a voicemail, but they almost never do.

Just got a call but no message was left. Seemed dodgy, probably a scam.

I think it was a scam, the phone rang and just as it started going to voicemail, the caller disconnected.

This week, we've had nearly a scam call every day, always coming from what look like genuine UK phone numbers. I decided to ring one back just to see what was going on. The bloke who answered sounded proper fed up and told me he knows his number’s been nicked and already reported it to the authorities. Like others have mentioned before, you'd think the phone companies could do something about this since they must be able to see which numbers are being faked and swapped with hacked ones.

They rang me but never said anything or left a message. Pretty clear it's one of those dodgy calls like people have been saying.

The person on the other end just cut off the call before saying anything.

Got a call from what sounded like a scammer, I reckon it wasn’t even a real person but some kind of AI. They were trying to sell me a new emergency call button. It all felt really dodgy. Honestly, the phone company letting these numbers get used like this should be held responsible and taken to court for enabling scams like this.

This guy called me, said his name was David and he wanted to talk about replacing my windows and doors. I just said I wasn’t interested and he ended the call right away.

Today alone ive gotten four calls from different numbers, its honestly getting ridiculous. Why cant they just sort something out to block em? Such a pain!

Bit odd really, I got a call from 03333440000 a little while ago but it just went to the answerphone. Right after that, I get this so called boiler scam call. Makes you wonder if there's some connection between the two?

The bloke kept going on about new windows for my home, even after I said I’m in a council flat. I just ended up hanging up on him.

Total rip off!

Got a call from some bloke with an English accent, saying we’re paying for a gas boiler contract that doesn’t even exist. I wasn’t having any of it and told him straight where to shove it.
