I got a call from someone saying they were following government guidelines about replacing loft insulation to prevent damage to my house. The caller sounded quite pushy and when I asked if it was a cold call, they just hung up on me.

They said they represented some IG firm about lofts or something. What really stuck with me was when they asked if I was aged between 60-70 or 70-85 - felt like they were trying to target older folks for something dodgy. Seemed pretty fishy to me.

We got a call about “following up” on loft insulation that supposedly was put in our house. Thing is, we bought the place 32 years ago, and the insulation was already there - plus, our number's changed heaps since then. The caller spoke with a British accent and sounded quite real, but their story was totally made up. Also, our number’s unlisted and we’re on the TPS, so I reckon it's one of those automated calls pretending to be live. This could easily fool someone who's not as wary, so I’m marking that number down as dodgy to warn others.

This person called me saying something about free loft insulation from the government needing a top up or something. Problem is, I've never even had any loft insulation done. I told him I had no clue what he was on about and then he just ended the call.

Just got a robocall pushing face masks, saying they're now mandatory by the government! Total scam alert!

Today at about 3.40pm I got a call from 01225 584 043. The person on the other end said the government was requiring me to wear a facemask, then asked me to press 1 to be put through to their order line. Definitely a scam - don’t fall for it!
