Received a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft, saying my PC was sending out error alerts to them. I questioned how they could possibly be watching all Microsoft computers globally, and the woman replied loudly, "Each one has a special licence ID, haven’t you heard?" She tried to get me to switch on my computer so she could guide me through installing some remote access software. I explained the computer was in a different room and my phone couldn't reach it, then she just ended the call.
