They keep calling over and over and when I finally pick up it takes forever to get through. They somehow know my name and say they've heard I've been in an accident lately. I haven't, so I tell them straight away and then they start asking if anyone else in my family or home has been in an accident! How cheeky! When I say no, they just suddenly hang up on me!

This number rang me, so I called back using 141 to hide my number (always do this when returning unknown calls). The guy asked for my number, but I told him I needed to find out who he was first. He claimed to be from “IFM Independent Financial Matters.” When I asked where he was located, he just asked why I wanted to know. Got fed up and ended the call. There was loads of background noise like a call centre. I’d say steer clear unless you’re expecting them.

I got a call from this firm claiming I had asked for a life insurance quote. I quickly told them that wasn’t true. They insisted I’d filled out a special survey at a couple of big supermarkets, but I denied that too. Despite me trying to explain, they kept talking over me about the life insurance offer. Then the caller gave my birthday, which really annoyed me, as it clearly means my info was shared without my permission. When I tried to get them to connect me with a manager, the woman got very nasty and just ended the call. Proper dodgy behaviour if you ask me.
