Got a phone call from someone saying they were working for the government and wanted to check on any debts I owed (which I don’t have, so I decided to test them a bit). When I asked where they got my number from, they said they had all my details. I then asked for my National Insurance number, thinking a genuine government rep would know it but a scammer wouldn't. At that point, the call started cutting out. I kept asking a few times, and each time they said the connection was poor. Eventually, I just ended the call.

I’ve had this number ringing me repeatedly, and I kept missing it until I finally picked up about half an hour ago. When I asked who they were and where they got my number from, the caller was shockingly rude and downright obnoxious. I couldn’t believe the attitude! I quickly hung up because I don’t tolerate that kind of behaviour from strangers, especially people I’ve never heard of. Such a horrible experience!
