I too received a call from this number. The individual claimed to be from Penicuik, which I believe is a firm that deals with double glazing and conservatories. They mentioned conducting research on properties within my locality, which strikes me as rather suspicious. Surely, it can't be that hard to ascertain whether someone resides in a semi-detached or a detached home without resorting to ringing up every single household? Are they under the impression that we’re all gullible? I can't be the only one who finds this rather condescending to our intellect, can I?

Received a phone call concerning market research from a company seemingly nearby. Nearby? It’s an Aberdeen number and I’m based in Edinburgh!
I suspect this is one of those dodgy schemes that will circle back in a couple of months, trying to convince me I've bagged a timeshare in Barbados.

Honestly, what a nuisance! These types deserve a good talking to!
