Had a couple of calls today but I ended them right away before they got a chance to say anything.

So this bloke rings up saying he’s from the telephone preference service or something, asks for my debit card expiry date. I gave him a dodgy date and then when he wanted the cardholders name, I gave him a made-up one. Then he asked for the account number, and that’s when I told him to bog off and slammed the phone down. A few seconds later he calls back, going on about how legit he is. I just hung up again and blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from abroad but when I picked up, there was nobody on the line. Very odd.

My partner picked up and the caller claimed to be from BT's call blocking team, asking for our new debit card details. We just put the phone down. Then, about 30 minutes later, another bloke rang, saying he was from that same department and wanted to speak to me. We ended the call right away again.

I keep getting daily calls on my landline where no one says a word when I answer. They’re becoming really annoying, and when they do decide to chat, it’s usually full of rubbish. I’m just going to block the number now and flag it as dodgy.
