I received an automated call claiming to be from BT regarding an issue with my internet connection. They said that if I didn’t follow their instructions, my service could be disconnected within the next day. According to the message, I was to press 1 to fix the alleged problem or press 2 if I wanted to cancel my internet altogether. It seems rather suspicious to me; if there was a genuine issue, I’d certainly be in touch with my actual provider, which isn't BT, so I simply hung up.

Got a call claiming to be from BT internet saying there was some issue with the service. They told me if I wanted them to fix it press 1, or press 2 to cut the internet off. I didn’t press anything, just hung up. They’ve called quite a few times, not just me but my mum as well. She’s just had internet set up recently and if I hadn’t picked up her phone, she might have ended up following their instructions. Seems a bit dodgy to me.
