I could distinctly hear an Asian accent, yet the chap identified himself as Michael. I've encountered a string of similar calls where they’ve used names like Jason and Sean. I particularly remember the last one, which was undoubtedly a scam from last year. I took the precaution of contacting my bank, my internet provider, and even filed a report with the police.
