Got a few calls from someone saying my home computer was apparently sending money to charities without my say so. They keep calling back - I think they've phoned about five times now - saying they want to help fix the problem. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.

For the last week or more, this number keeps calling me daily, sometimes twice a day. Lately, I’ve had a bunch of calls from various numbers all claiming to be ‘Chris, your local energy advisor’. They called today too, but I didn’t pick up since it’s always junk or scam calls during school hours, even though I’m ex-directory and signed up with TPS. As soon as my answerphone kicked in, the caller hung up, so I reckon it’s just another scam. I’ve put them on block now.

Got a call on my phone from some bloke named Chris claiming he was from Cambridge. He asked if I was the “person responsible for the energy bills at this address,” or something like that. So, I asked where he’d got my details from, and, unsurprisingly, he just cut the call straight off. Didn’t mention my name or anything else personal. Safe to say, I’ve blocked the number now. Total scam.
