Dodgy call. Legitimate calls from your bank will always tell you who they are, but thieves can fake real bank numbers to trick you. If you’re unsure, ring your bank using the number printed on your card. Don’t forget to report any suspicious calls to the police through their Action Fraud website. Just search for ‘Action Fraud’ and head to the UK police site, then find the phishing section and fill out the quick form. Reporting these scams helps fight back against them.

Today, on 13th October around 12.25pm, this number rang my landline three times. The first two calls had a recorded woman’s voice but I didn’t bother listening, ended the call straight away. The last call was silent for a couple of minutes before a voice said something like “the other person has cleared,” then I hung up. I don’t mind when they ring my mobile because I can block them easily, but the home phone is a nightmare since I hardly use it and don’t know how to block numbers there. Pretty sure it's some sort of scam call, but they’re gonna have to work harder to fool me!

This morning I got hit with a pair of scam calls. One came from this number, the other was some foreign one.
