Got a call about investing my money, sounded dodgy from the start. Took about a couple of minutes before I realised it was a scam, so I just ended the call straight away. Definitely don’t trust them!

I got an automated call claiming to be from my bank, saying there were two suspicious charges on my account. They never said which bank though. Honestly, even if they had, I’d have hung up and called my bank back using a number I trust.

Got a voicemail supposedly from my bank saying there were two payments made today, one for £300 and another for £1,000. It told me to press 2 if I didn’t authorise them. Totally sounded like a scam, so I just ended the call straight away.

So this morning at about 8:15 on Saturday, my phone rang but as soon as I said no one was available, the caller just hung up. Bit odd really.

A woman with a thick Asian accent rang me, claiming to be from BT. She mentioned there was some dodgy activity on my internet router and started quizzing me about how many devices I had connected to it. I thought it wise to ask her for my name-surely being the one calling, she’d have that information, right? Well, as soon as I asked, she promptly hung up. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent claiming to be from Amazon, saying my order was set and asking me to verify some info. I told him straight up that Amazon doesn’t ring people like that and to buzz off. Surprised myself by keeping it so civil!

Someone told me my debit card was used and about £600 getting sent overseas. I always assumed the bank would give you a ring themselves if something like that happened. It’s mad that these calls keep happening, and I don’t get why the police aren’t cracking down on these scammers.

I never caught the bloke's name, but he passed me on after saying £600 was being charged to my Visa card for something in China. The accent made me think it was someone from an Indian call centre. I played along a bit, told him it was a scam, then just ended the call. I don’t have a Visa card, never have.

Yesterday arvo I got a call from that number but since we use a BT call blocker and it wasn’t saved in our contacts, the phone never rang. The number means nothing to us. They didn’t bother to say who they were or leave any voicemail, so my guess is it was just another scam trying their luck.
