However, instead of calling, I decided to look up that number on my tablet and discovered that others have fallen victim to this same ruse. Make no mistake, folks-this is a scam! Don’t let yourselves be duped.8 yearsI received a rather alarming message on my voicemail, indicating that an arrest warrant had supposedly been issued against my name, along with threats of impending criminal action. The caller advised me to get in touch with 01223 793120 to consult with my so-called case advisor. I refrained from doing so, and instead, I typed that number into my tablet, only to discover numerous others who had also encountered this dubious scheme. BEWARE, folks - this is a SCAM. Don't let yourself be taken in!BEWARE8 yearsI just had a phone call from this number claiming there’s an arrest warrant in my name. I rang them back, only to be met by an incredibly brusque gentleman who claimed to be from HM Revenue and Customs. He insisted I should ring back tomorrow since they were shutting up shop for today. When I asked for more clarity about the situation, he completely brushed me off. It’s blindingly obvious that this is a dodgy scheme of some sort!HM Revenue and Customs8 yearsGreetings, I’m Michael G. Wood from The Meadows in Leominster, UK. I'm just following up on a message I posted roughly six hours ago today, Wednesday, 26th September 2018, regarding the phone number 01223 793120. I reached out to that number on Monday, 24th September 2018, as I had some concerns about a tax issue I believe I owe to HM Revenue and Customs. Just seeking clarity on this matter.Michael G. WoodThe MeadowsLeominsterUKHM Revenue and Customs8 yearsI received a rather unpleasant message on my answering machine from this number, so I decided to return the call, making sure to add the zero at the start, which wasn’t mentioned in the message. To my surprise, I was met with an aggressive tone from two men with foreign accents-one identifying himself as OFFICE JOHN MILLER and the other as OFFICER COOKE. They claimed to represent the INLAND REVENUE CUSTOMS & EXCISE, stating that I owed a considerable amount of tax covering the years from 1979 to 2017. They then threatened that a police officer would be knocking at my door within thirty minutes if I didn’t settle the payment that very day, which was Monday, the 24th of September, 2018. This whole ordeal also distressed my mother, who then called them from my phone as well and received the exact same treatment from the same chap who had initially taken my call. It’s all left us quite shaken, to say the least.OFFICE JOHN MILLEROFFICER COOKECUSTOMS & EXCISE8 yearsReceived a message on my voicemail urging me to ring this number regarding a supposed legal matter, claiming there’s an arrest warrant out for me.Submit Your Own Report (01223 793120)
