Just hang up, do not pick up. They’re trying to check which phone numbers are live. If you do, your number gets flagged as active and ends up getting blasted by all sorts of spam calls. I got a call from someone in Cambridge, UK even though I’m way over in Columbia, South Carolina. I don’t have any ties to the UK apart from the Raspberry Pi Foundation and they only ever contact me by email.
