Just like someone else mentioned before, they already had some simple info and then tried to chat about my will. Pretty clear they were fishing for personal info to probably do some id theft. I quickly contacted our solicitor who told me they manage their own storage and have no clue about any random calls like that.

They had my name and postcode spot on, but the home address they gave was completely off. A woman rang saying she was from a legal firm and wanted info about my will to update their records. I told her I’d phone back at another time. Later, I rang the company that actually handles my will, and they told me that number isn’t theirs and they’ve made no attempt to get in touch with me. Seems like just another scam, though I’m not quite sure what they were after this time?

I just let it ring out and then suddenly my phone just shut down on me - quite strange really.

I picked up the call and as soon as I did, they just ended it straight away. The caller ID showed it was from somewhere in Cambridgeshire.
