Got a missed call from this number, but I wasn’t around to pick up luckily. It’s not a number I know and the location doesn’t seem like one that’d be calling me, so I’m guessing it’s just another scam. The call came in the usual time frame for dodgy calls, sometime between 10 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon. I’ve blocked the number now.

They said they were from Virgin Media but the call quality was awful, I could barely catch what they were saying. I think they mentioned something about an issue with my router, but then the call just dropped. For sure, it didn’t sound like it was from a UK-based call centre.

Got a call claiming it’s Virgin Media about dodgy broadband, but rang up Virgin themselves and they said it’s definitely a scam. They seem to be targeting elderly people mostly. I get about three calls daily from these lot, so I just mess around with them a bit. I like to flip their bad vibes back, especially since it’s some call centre from India, and then ask if they’re actually proud of what they’re doing. Usually, they cut off straight away. If you’re messing with these scammers, just keep it light-hearted before winding them up.

What a nightmare these scammers are! Honestly, these calls are driving me mad. Someone else mentioned reporting them, and I’m totally doing the same. I got a call earlier claiming there was an issue with our internet. They said they were from Virgin, which is who we use, but honestly, I reckon they just found that out somewhere. They never asked who I was or who they wanted, just assumed I was a Virgin customer (which I am, but that’s beside the point). When I said I was busy, they just ended the call straight away.
