Got a call from someone with an Asian accent claiming to check if I’d had my covid and flu vaccines. I told them I’m with the mobile fraud investigation team and asked where they got the right to access my private info, since that’s against data protection laws. I’ve blocked the number now.

So I picked up the phone and they said "Hello ma'am, I'm from health care department" and honestly that makes alarm bells ring straight away. Here in the UK, nobody really talks like that; it’s either madam or just hi. Plus, we’ve got the NHS here, not some "health care department", feels like a total scam to me. And guess what, I get loads of calls from these numbers, definitely dodgy.

Got a call from a bloke speaking with an Asian accent claiming he was from 'Health and Social Care'. He wanted to speak to me by my first name, which I never give out before I know who’s on the line. What gave it away was he kept calling me 'Mr [first name]' - no proper call would ever do that; they usually get the surname right, using 'Mr/Mrs/Miss [surname]' or the full name. I soon told him where to shove it with some rather colourful language you wouldn’t hear in polite company.

I immediately blocked the number and decided to check it out on this site... looks like this suspicious number has popped up twice already!
