Got a weird robocall about supposedly owing £2,000 to HMRC. The automated voice was really garbled and told me to press 1 to chat with someone. Yeah, no thanks. Definitely a tax scam. Blocked the number straight away. Since I’ve just dealt with HMRC for my Self Assessment, I can understand how folks might get tricked by these calls.
