Earlier, I was troubled by two other digits: 01247988293 and 01221049489. The usual racket follows, an automated voice purporting to be from TalkTalk - claiming that my internet service is on the edge of termination. It urges me to press 1 to chat with a technician or 2 to cut it off right away. After the robotic message is delivered, everything falls silent and the line disconnects after about half a minute. These irritating calls bombard me several times a week, with the majority accusingly claiming to represent TalkTalk, while a few attempt to pass themselves off as BT.
