So this number, 01219461218, was an Indian lady ringing me, supposedly from British Telecom. I asked her where she was calling from, but she just ignored the question and went straight into her spiel in awful English. She went on about someone trying to hack my internet, but I told her my dad's been with BT for like 40 years, so I wasn't buying it. Told her to get lost, I’m not messing about with that nonsense.

Yesterday, this number rang me up four times and they've already called twice today, claiming to be from BT’s Tech Support regarding issues with my internet. Over the space of just a couple days, I've had six calls from them. Every time it's the same story about how my internet isn’t safe. They insist that BT supplies internet for every provider out there. When I rang up my actual provider, they told me that's rubbish. Proper pain in the neck!

Got two calls from 01219461218 today. I work in IT support so I decided to mess around a bit. The bloke on the line claimed to be from BT and said he was there about my internet, but I actually have Virgin Media. He promised he’d prove it once I logged into my computer. I kinda guessed what he wanted next - to get full access or something like that - so I told him straight up what his plan was. At that point he started going “no no no no no” and just hung up. Pretty sure it was a scam.

Got the usual calls from someone claiming to be BT, saying there's an issue with my internet that I can sort by just switching on my laptop and following their steps. They rang me two times yesterday and already twice today. I messaged BT on Twitter, but they don’t seem to be able to stop these fake BT calls. When they called again today, I told them I knew it was a scam and to get lost, then I hung up. I checked and they were still on the line trying to convince me they were BT, so I told them off again and finally, they hung up for real.

BEWARE ITS A SCAM! A bloke with an Indian accent rang up pretendin to be from BT sayin there was an issue with my internet. I told him that was odd since I live out in the sticks with no internet at all. Then I just hung up on him. Right after, I quickly phoned from my landline to a trusted mobile in case somehow the line was hacked, to cut them off. Sorted it. Seriously, DONT PICK UP if you get a call like this!

Some guy with an Asian accent called me, said his name was John and claimed he worked for BT. He tried saying there was an issue with my internet connection. I just told him to piss off and slapped the phone down. It’s frustrating because the TPS still can’t stop these calls since they don’t have the right laws to deal with them.

Got a call from 01219461218 earlier, claiming to be BT. The lady spoke with a noticeable Indian accent and told me someone was attempting to hack my computer. She urged me to keep on the line and guide me to log into my laptop so she could "help me fix it," stressing it was urgent. I ended the call straight away and reported it to the anti-fraud team. They took down everything, gave me a ref number, and said the police might follow up. Seems these scammers often use Birmingham numbers. Stay alert, folks.

Somebody rang saying they were from BT, telling me my computer was messed up. I asked if they were sure who they were calling, and they just guessed it was Mr Walters.
