Female voice (probably a recording) stating they are Emily from your local energy supplier. It’s a scam. Do not give any information. Hang up, report and block the number.

Got a call from a woman saying, “Hi, this is Emily with your nearby energy provider.” I wasn’t having any of it and told the auto caller to shove off. Then I reported the number to BT, the ICO, and also left a report here. The number’s blocked now, so fingers crossed no more of these annoying calls.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Helen, said she was from an energy company. Totally felt like a scam to me.

Got a call that felt fishy, ended up just putting the phone down straight away.

Someone rang me up about loft insulation. I said nicely I wasn’t interested, and then the bloke said he knew where I lived and that I should watch myself. I asked what he was on about, and he just replied with ‘here today, gone tomorrow’. It was pretty creepy. Watch out for this number - it wasn’t a robot calling, I could even hear people sniggering in the backround. Quite unsettling if you ask me.

Today my home phone rang from a number I hadn’t seen before, so I just ignored it. Later, I attempted to check the number using 1471 but my phone was locked and wouldn’t let me. I couldn’t unlock it myself, so I had to ring Vodafone in the evening to get it sorted. Watch out for this number, whoever it belongs to, it needs to be blocked.

Tried calling them but no one bothered to answer.

A voice called asking if I was the person living here, I just said ‘I’ll get him.’ They then went on about loft insulation. I didn’t say anything after that and they hung up eventually.

I’m over 90 and on the TPS list, yet I get these energy advice calls almost every day from all sorts of different numbers. It’s really not right, they should stop!

Definitely sounded like some kind of automated call, it just hung up after about five rings. With all the tech we've got these days, you'd think they’d be able to track these scammers down properly, take em to court and lock them up for good.

It took forever for someone to answer, and then they said something like, "I guess you’re the homeowner, this is Jo from the local energy advisory team." Sadly for Jo, I’ve dealt with her before, and it was the exact same spiel. When I asked who she was trying to reach, she just went back to her script. I cut her off and asked again for the name she wanted, and then she just dropped the call. I’m registered with the TPS, and she clearly had no idea who I was. Total scam vibes!

Had yet another annoying ring from a number I’m pretty sure is ex-directory and I’m on the TPS, mind you. Seriously, what’s the use of these services if they don’t actually stop anything or have any real power?

Got this strange call from an unknown number, didn’t pick it up. Rang about four times then suddenly went quiet. No voicemail or anything, seems like a typical scam to me.

Picked up, but as soon as the answering machine started, they just hung up. The number was almost identical to one that kept bothering me before, just the last digit was different.

Got a call during the day on my home phone. Since I’m on the TPS and never share my number, I figured it was probably a scam. No one said a word, just silence, and no voicemail was left either. Tried reporting it, but it’s like shouting into the void. Ended up blocking the number.

Got a call from someone sounding Aussie, but turned out to be a scammer.

Just got one of those annoying calls again, this time the last few numbers were different. My number’s on the TPS and it’s ex-directory too. I’ll block it no doubt but I’m pretty sure they'll ring back from some other number that looks similar. This is seriously getting out of hand. There’s gotta be some proper way to put an end to these calls.
