Honestly, this seems like a total rip-off. I had a call on my virtual landline from someone pushing this story about switching providers because supposedly "the lines are going digital." They kept throwing in stuff like "we're partnered with Openreach" to sound legit. Pretty sure they're just after getting you to sign up with a pricier company so they can make a nice commission for themselves.
