Received the same call claiming they acquired my information from my local council. Absolute con artists!

I've been receiving frequent calls from three specific numbers—0121 823 1710, 0121 823 1784, and 0121 823 1846. I've chosen not to answer them and have since blocked all of them. It's quite the nuisance, to say the least!

I received a call from a number linked to a firm named "housing disrepair." They had my complete name and home address, which raised some eyebrows. They asserted they were affiliated with my local council.

I received a call from a firm identifying itself as 'Housing Disrepair', claiming that my first name appeared on a register of tenants associated with the council or a housing association. I mentioned that I suspected it was linked to someone who had been bothering me, and they assured me they would remove my details from their records.

I was threatened with legal action if I didn’t accept their payment conditions right away. When I found it rather amusing and laughed it off, they lost their temper and started hurling insults at me.

My phone flagged it as potential spam, so I went ahead and blocked the number.

Received a dodgy call on my mobile. Didn’t pick up, so I’ll just add them to my blocked numbers.

A woman reached out to me, addressing me by name (which I chose not to verify). She inquired whether there were any lingering repair jobs that hadn't been completed. Interestingly, she seemed to know that my home was either rented or a housing association dwelling. It does make you ponder how much more convincing these scammers could be if they actually put in a bit more effort, doesn’t it?

He introduced himself as Nigel, claiming to be associated with a housing development programme and insisted my number was registered as a tenant or for a housing association. I told him he was mistaken, and with that, he abruptly ended the call.
