Its a scam, dont answer the phone from this number no matter what!

I received a call from a company called 'UK Choice' who seemed to have access to my name and former address. They were quizzing me about whether I owned my home or was renting and also delving into my age group, amongst other things. I refused to share any information with them and they kept insisting on having just half a minute more of my time. Eventually, I ended the call and decided to block their number.

This number keeps ringing me and it doesn’t show up on my caller ID. They actually said my name the 2nd time they phoned today. I’d already blocked them after the first call but they still got through again. I’m pretty sure it’s some sort of scam, so I just let it go to voicemail. Charming woman on the phone claimed I took part in a survey last year (not true!) and asked if I’d do a follow-up? They promised shopping vouchers as a thank you. Asked if I wanted them posted or emailed. Bit fishy! That’s how they’d grab my address and email! Just a clever trick. I wished her well and ended the call. She sounded quite lovely, to be fair!

I decided to ring the number again, and to my surprise, it mentioned something about ‘Capital Life’. I took a moment to look them up online, and it turns out they specialise in funeral insurance plans. Quite unexpected, really!

When I rang back, I was met with some dreadful hold music and an American voice droning on about holding for an agent. Yeah, right! Not happening!
