Got a call from someone saying they were UK Choice, mentioning my name and an old address. They wanted to know if I own my place or rent it, and also asked about my age group. I refused to share any info and they kept pestering me to talk for just 30 more seconds. Eventually, I just ended the call and blocked the number.

Charming woman on the phone claimed I took part in a survey last year (not true!) and asked if I’d do a follow-up? They promised shopping vouchers as a thank you. Asked if I wanted them posted or emailed. Bit fishy! That’s how they’d grab my address and email! Just a clever trick. I wished her well and ended the call. She sounded quite lovely, to be fair!

She said she was ringing from a company with a name including something like Harris. She asked if I had got any shopping vouchers from a survey I supposedly did last year. I said no. She said that was fine and she could take my info to sort it out. But then I said I didn’t actually recall doing any survey and she immediately ended the call. I reckon it was some kind of scam.
