5 yearsI’m really fed up with these calls! They never bother to leave a message, and all they do is rack up my voicemail charges. Quite annoying, to be honest!5 yearsI received a missed call on my mobile today and decided to ring the number back, thinking it might be regarding a hotel booking I was anticipating. To my surprise, someone picked up and immediately started to address me by name and mention my address. They began asking whether I participated in the lottery and if I’d ever had any luck winning before. Then, the person claimed they had dispatched some complimentary lottery numbers to my home, which should arrive in about five days. Next, they proceeded to tempt me with offers for 5p lottery lines for the months of December, January, and February. At this point, I was on high alert, waiting for the inevitable catch to surface. And, of course, it did. The individual wanted payment by card or suggested that most people opted to set up a direct debit. I firmly told him there was no chance I’d go for that and promptly hung up. I also made sure to issue a warning about this experience on Facebook!Facebook5 yearsI never actually heard the phone ring, but saw a missed call notice from this number.
