I noticed I'd missed 5 calls from this number, so I decided to call back. The bloke on the other end already had all my details like my name and address. He was pitching some sort of lottery scheme where you pay 5p per line, get 260 tickets weekly, and it costs £12 a week through direct debit. Apparently, there were only 20 spots available for this "great" opportunity to win. He kept me on the phone for quite a long time, but as soon as I told him I wasn’t interested, he just hung up on me.

After receiving their call, I tried to return the favour only to find that the line went silent on their side as soon as I answered. Strangely enough, they seemed to know my name, which I found a tad unsettling. They then proceeded to tempt me with an offer of ten complimentary lottery tickets, but before they could continue their pitch, I quickly declined and ended the call. I've since blocked their number, just to be on the safe side.
